Role overview

Job description

About Evident Digital Pathology Evident Scientific, formerly part of Olympus Corporation, is a global leader in life-science microscopy and optical instrumentation. Following the recent acquisition of Pramana, a pioneer in Autonomous Digital Imaging, Evident has combined its world-class optical heritage with Pramana’s software, robotics, and AI innovation to define the future of Digital Pathology. Our young, high-performing engineering team has already taken the industry to its next node in autonomy—building the world’s most advanced whole-slide imaging platform, deployed at the Mayo Clinic to create the world’s largest digital pathology archive. Today, this technology is trusted by more than 30 top-tier medical institutions across the U.S. and Europe, powering Clinical workflows directly aiding in patient care. As part of Evident, this team is now advancing to the next level of autonomy—moving from autonomous imaging to intelligent imaging, where scanners, data systems, and user interfaces are self-aware, adaptive, and capable of real-time AI inference at the edge. As a Product Manager, you won't just manage features and backlogs. You'll get to orchestrate… Imagine discussions that span: Physics & Optics: Light, illumination and lenses Hardware & Robotics: Precision components, mechanical movements, sensors.. Mathematics & Algorithms: Image processing, calculations, optimization and AI.. Software & Architecture: UX/UI, frontend, backend, embedded systems and integrations. Performance Engineering: Image quality, throughput, reliability and system-level optimization. And then comes the other fascinating part - people! You will work with an incredibly diverse ecosystem: Everyone interacts with the same product, but everyone sees it with a different perspective. An operator wants a simpler workflow. An engineer thinks about feasibility. A pathologist expects quality-assured images. A field engineer looks for operational reliability - Your job is to connect these worlds. Understand their perspectives, translate their needs into meaningful requirements, challenge assumptions and bring everyone together to build the right product. What we're looking for: 8+ years of Systems or Product Management experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Curiosity to understand technology beyond the software interface. Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and systems thinking. Experience in hardware-software products, robotics, imaging and AI
