The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing on-site activities, and ensuring the quality and safety of all civil engineering works. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. **Project Planning and Coordination:** - Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. - Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure alignment on project specifications and requirements. 2. **On-Site Supervision:** - Supervise all on-site civil construction activities, including earthworks, foundations, structural work, and related tasks. - Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and local building codes. 3. **Quality Control:** - Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship. - Conduct regular site inspections to identify and rectify any issues or deviations from the project plan. 4. **Health and Safety:** - Enforce strict adherence to health and safety regulations on-site. - Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to promote a safe working environment. - Investigate and report on any incidents or accidents, implementing corrective actions as necessary. 5. **Resource Management:** - Manage the allocation and utilization of on-site resources, including labor, materials, and equipment. - Ensure that all resources are used efficiently and within the project budget. 6. **Documentation and Reporting:** - Maintain accurate records of all site activities, including daily logs, progress reports, and material usage. - Prepare and submit regular progress reports to the Project Manager and other stakeholders. 7. **Stakeholder Communication:** - Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure smooth project execution. - Address any queries or concerns raised by stakeholders promptly and effectively. 8. **Problem Solving:** - Identify potential issues or risks to project timelines and budgets, and develop mitigation strategies. - Provide technical guidance and support to resolve on-site challenges. **Qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Proven experience in supervising civil construction projects, preferably in the renewable energy sector. - Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and building codes. - Excellent leadership and communication skills. - Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite. - Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. - Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities. **Preferred Skills:** - Previous experience in solar project execution. - Professional Engineering (PE) license. - Familiarity with AutoCAD and other civil engineering design software. - Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
