Process Engineer

Position: Process Engineer Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and update Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), process flow sheets, and process documentation. Develop and maintain mass and energy balances, process calculations, and operating parameters. Monitor and control chemical process operations, including batch manufacturing and reactor operations. Optimize processes to improve production yield, productivity, product quality, and cycle time. Identify process bottlenecks, troubleshoot operational issues, and conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA). Implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to address process deviations and recurring issues. Ensure compliance with SOPs, GMP, quality standards, EHS requirements, and process safety guidelines. Optimize raw material consumption, energy usage, solvent recovery, and overall manufacturing costs. Support process scale-up, technology transfer, trial batches, and new product development. Monitor KPIs, including production yield, batch cycle time, process losses, and equipment utilization. Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Instrumentation, Maintenance, QA/QC, and R&D teams for process improvements and modifications. Prepare technical reports and implement continuous improvement initiatives to minimize waste and enhance operational efficiency. Required Skills Strong knowledge of chemical process operations, PFDs/P&IDs, mass and energy balances, process optimization, troubleshooting, GMP, RCA/CAPA, and process safety standards.
